Installation instructions for D-Raintank®
Installation instructions for loads up to 2.5 t |
| A covering layer of at least 400mm above the top face of D-Raintank® is recommended. This will ensure adequate strength and a sufficient layer of good growth medium.
| Using suitable equipment, first remove
the topsoil layer and save it to one side. Next excavate the earth to the planned
depth. |
| Next put in the support layer, gravel or sand mix dependent on predetermined soil conditions.
| Roll out geotextile centrally. |

| Arrange D-Raintank® |
| Wrap D-Raintank® completely with geotextile, ensuring a 300mm overlap of material.
| Now backfill the remaining cavity at the
side of the D-Raintank® with water permeable material and compact it.
| Depending on the requirements for the
D-Raintank® soak away trench, an inlet, and if necessary also an outlet (to
the regulating manhole) should be fitted. Here the recommendation is to drill
the top plate of the D-Raintank® with a DN 100 mm core drill (110 mm, obtainable
from the manufacturer)... |

| ...and push the D-Raintank® connector
into this opening. | |
| Now the D-Raintank® fleece filter material is
to be driven in at both sides of the D-Raintank® soak away trench so that
it is sand proof. |
| We recommend sealing the edges around
the connection with a hot adhesive gun. |

| In line with the planning and design of
the D-Raintank® soak away trench, the cleaning and/or the regulating manhole
are to be connected at the correct height.
